Associate

Job Profile Summary

Working within the Allocations, Reconciliations, and Calculations department as part of Global Sales Operations, the team is responsible for allocating and reconciling trades with clients and sales partners, as well as reconciling trades and servicing fee payments due to these parties. The team supports these efforts to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time and to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Execute allocations:
    • Review trades to determine the appropriate allocation of claims at various levels
    • Set and verify allocation rules to enable automatic allocation of trades
    • Work internally with Sales and Operations to request information about trades
  • Votes:
    • Compare system balances with customer statements to ensure they match
    • Investigate and Resolve Discrepancies
    • Execution of trades as required
  • Preparing Customer Payments:
    • After the reconciliation is complete, verify that the generated payments are accurate
    • Approve payments to the finance department for onward payment to customers
    • Respond to inquiries and requests for reimbursement as needed
  • Knowledge of the Calculation Engine:
    • Provide documentation and tools to ensure accurate processing and data in accordance with the customer agreement
    • Run Daily/End-of-Period Processes
    • Create and run reports for internal and external purposes
    • Review accounts to ensure accuracy
    • Review of system developments as needed

Key qualifications and experience

  • A college degree, preferably with relevant industry qualifications
  • Ideally, 2–5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Typically with extensive management experience
  • A strong work ethic and experience with allocations, reconciliations, and general customer service would be an asset
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
