Associate - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Job description

Alantra is seeking an Associate for its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. The successful candidate will assist with the origination and execution of transactions involving debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, work closely with senior bankers, and gain exposure to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Tasks

• Assistance with the execution of capital-raising and advisory engagements in the shipping and offshore industries.
• Development, maintenance, and refinement of financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis.
• Preparation of presentation books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other transaction materials.
• Conducting industry, company, and transaction research in the shipping, oil and gas, transportation, and related sectors.
• Active participation in business development and deal origination activities.

Requirements

• Solid background knowledge in investment banking, shipping finance, or investment management, with a focus on maritime/offshore, oil and gas, or transportation.
• A proven track record in executing financing or M&A transactions.
• Advanced skills in modeling, structuring, and evaluation.
• Strong client-focused skills, with the ability to manage interactions with investors and clients.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native speaker).
