Associate - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Role Overview

Alantra is seeking talented professionals at the associate level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. Successful candidates will assist with the origination and execution of transactions involving debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, work closely with senior bankers, and gain exposure to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Focus of activities

The main tasks include:

• Assistance with the execution of capital raising and consulting engagements in the maritime and offshore industries.
• Development, maintenance, and refinement of financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis.
• Preparation of presentation materials, investment memoranda, and other transaction documents.
• Conducting industry, company, and transaction research in the shipping, oil and gas, transportation, and related sectors.
• Active participation in business development and deal origination activities.

Requirements

The requirements for candidates are:

• Solid background in investment banking, shipping finance, or investment management with a focus on maritime/offshore, oil and gas, or transportation.
• A proven track record in executing financing or M&A transactions.
• Advanced skills in modeling, structuring, and evaluation.
• Strong client-focused skills with the ability to manage interactions with investors and clients.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Greek (native speaker).
