Associate - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Overview

Alantra is seeking talented associate-level professionals to strengthen its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens. Successful candidates will support the origination and execution of transactions involving debt, equity, and hybrid instruments, working closely with senior bankers and gaining access to high-profile international deals in the shipping and offshore sectors.

Key tasks

• Contribute to the execution of capital raising and advisory mandates in the maritime and offshore industries.
• Create, maintain, and improve financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis.
• Prepare pitch books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other transaction materials.
• Conduct industry, company, and transaction research in the shipping, oil and gas, transportation, and related sectors.
• Participate actively in business development and deal origination activities.

Requirements

• Solid experience in investment banking, ship financing, or investment management with a focus on maritime/offshore, oil and gas, or transportation (3-5+ years).
• Proven track record in executing financing or M&A transactions.
• Advanced skills in modeling, structuring, and evaluation.
• Strong customer focus, with the ability to manage investor and customer interactions.
• Experience in mentoring junior team members.
• Very good knowledge of English and Greek (native language).
