Associate - Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking

Role Overview

• Alantra is seeking to recruit talented professionals at the associate level to join its Maritime & Offshore Investment Banking team in Athens.
• The successful candidates will support the origination and execution of transactions in shipping, offshore securities, investment banking, and related sectors.
• This role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing team at the forefront of cross-border maritime and offshore investment banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the execution of capital-raising and advisory engagements in the maritime and offshore industries.
• Build, maintain, and enhance financial models to support valuation, structuring, and transaction analysis.
• Prepare pitch books, presentations, investment memoranda, and other transaction materials.
• Conduct industry, company, and transaction research in the shipping, oil and gas, transportation, and energy sectors.
• Actively participate in business development and deal origination activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Associate (3–5+ years of experience)
• A solid background in investment banking, shipping finance, or investment management, preferably related to the maritime/offshore, oil & gas, or transportation sectors.
• A proven track record in executing financing or M&A transactions.
• Advanced modeling, structuring, and valuation capabilities.
• Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to handle interactions with investors and clients professionally.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent command of English and Greek (native).
