Associate, Portfolio Management - Corporate Finance
As an Associate in Portfolio Management at ING in New York, you will support senior bankers in managing loan portfolios and preparing financial analyses and models. The position requires at least three years of experience in corporate finance or leveraged lending, as well as in-depth knowledge of three-level financial modeling.
Tasks
- Support the senior banker in all aspects of managing a large portfolio of programs and senior secured loans, primarily to sub-investment-grade clients
- Assist the debt team in preparing borrower analytics, including financial updates, financial modeling, credit approval packages, market comparables, and quarterly reports
- Ongoing portfolio management responsibility for a group of selected accounts, including monitoring and tracking credit performance, handling amendment requests, overseeing collateral due diligence, and promoting new business opportunities to existing clients
- Play a key role in managing internal system processing and KYC/CID data
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in corporate and/or leveraged lending, or loan portfolio management
- Excellent understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Corporate finance background—experience in financial markets is required
- Understand debt structuring and be able to make recommendations when appropriate
- Basic understanding of legal documentation
- Excel spreadsheet; proficiency in three-statement financial modeling is required
