Associate, Portfolio Manager

About the role

We are looking for a talented Portfolio Manager (PM) to join our portfolio management team. The PM will be responsible for portfolio construction and management. Our portfolio managers work with state-of-the-art portfolio risk and optimization technology. Ideal candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with aggressive deadlines using a risk modeling approach. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills. The PM must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks; take risks and make decisions independently.

Relevant tasks

* Use of quantitative risk models and optimization software to analyze and manage direct indexing equity portfolios * Tailoring portfolios to meet clients’ diverse tax preferences and investment mandates * Working directly with clients on complex tax and risk modeling issues

Requirements

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills, with an emphasis on quantitative analysis * Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in LOOKUP, pivot tables, etc. * Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy * Proven initiative, broad perspective, creativity, and strong quantitative skills * Solid verbal and written communication skills * Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects * Strong organizational and time management skills * Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university * Three or more years of relevant financial work experience required * Knowledge of securities markets, products, and behavior * Understanding of modern portfolio theory and its application
