Associate Portfolio Manager
The Associate Portfolio Manager supports the rotating fixed-income team in Munich in validating investment models, constructing portfolios, and ensuring compliance with risk philosophies. The position requires a college degree in a quantitative field as well as strong analytical and programming skills.
Tasks
- The role of Associate Portfolio Manager covers a broad range of market, investment, and technical topics as part of the rotating fixed-income team in Munich.
- Assistance with building and maintaining a portfolio, as well as providing mentoring for junior employees and coaching for junior team members.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers to validate the inputs and outputs of investment models and coordinate with the day-to-day management of the portfolio.
- Analysis of the results of various portfolio construction scenarios to ensure alignment with risk and investment philosophies.
- Supporting the research and portfolio management teams in generating training reports directly from internal communication systems.
- Collaborate with other departments and colleagues, as well as with various stakeholders (investors, counterparties, communications), to ensure that internal risk and investment philosophies are adhered to and upheld.
- Contribution to the creation of an innovative investment network environment.
- Contribution to strategic development and customer communication.
Requirements
- At least graduate-level and/or undergraduate courses in finance, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or an equivalent field.
- Previous work experience with Pantheon or Methis, or at least 4 months.
- Excellent mathematical and statistical skills.
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis is preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with multiple awards and financial training.
- Strong programming and statistical analysis skills.
- Strong written and oral language skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
