Associate Portfolio Manager
The Associate Portfolio Manager will support a team of portfolio managers and analysts in the implementation and monitoring of investment strategies, including monitoring investment ideas, portfolio construction and performance. The ideal candidate will work closely with the team to make investment decisions and perform analysis for client communications.

Associate Portfolio Manager
Tasks
- Work with the portfolio management team to implement Numeric's equity strategies and develop new strategies
- Interact daily with the Group's analysts on portfolio revaluation issues
- Make all fundamental decisions about investment ideas and transactions
- Work with the research team to develop new ideas and transactions
- Create meaningful analysis and commentary to understand and communicate the investment environment and strategy performance to clients/prospects
- Discuss market development and strategy performance with customers/prospects
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative equity portfolio management and research
- A degree (Ph.D./M.Sc.) in a quantitative discipline or an MBA with a finance specialization is strongly preferred
- Ability to implement and develop quantitative models and conduct quantitative/statistical research in the areas of data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and modeling
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial analysis
- Experience with and ability to use our proprietary pricing packages (e.g. FactSet, Excel, Python or other programming languages)
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative personality
- Ability to maintain client relationships and engage with institutional investors and advisors
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented
- Strong sense of integrity and work ethic
