Associate, Private Capital Fund Accounting - Middle Office, PM

BlackRock is seeking an Associate for the Middle Office of Private Capital Fund Accounting, who will be responsible for day-to-day accounting, cash and asset reconciliation, and providing support to the investment teams. The position requires 1–3 years of experience in the middle office or related fields, as well as in-depth knowledge of private credit and structured finance.

Tasks

  • Perform cash and asset reconciliation between internal systems (Engle, AxLogic) and the custodian
  • Play a crucial role in the daily reconciliation between IPS&H and BlackRock's accounting systems
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive securities management system within the company's systems (IPS & H). This includes:
    • Preparation of daily reports and/or risk reports
    • Establishment of New Funds / Issuers / Security Classes
    • Review and Resolution of Deviations
    • Review of Contracts for New Issuers / Corporate Actions
  • Collaborating with the sales teams on administrative tasks and workflow improvements
  • Preparation of the annual financial statements (UAB), including reconciliation and error correction across in-house platforms
  • Collaboration with custodians to support performance measurement and reconciliation activities
  • Providing day-to-day support for relationship managers and clients
  • Support for position planning and process support (trade booking / corporate actions / marketing and settlement)
  • Providing KPIs and detailed reports. Ensuring compliance with monthly closing deadlines and reporting to the Business Development Team
  • Analyzing corporate actions, ensuring that terms, conditions, and issues are accurately recorded and reported
  • Closer collaboration with the tax, securities, portfolio management, legal, and compliance teams
  • Assistance with custody position issues and provision of support as needed
  • Implementation of all general investment processes (trade booking / custody settlement)
  • Fund Management & SMA Clearing & Reconciliation
  • Collaboration with Capital Partners' Legal, Finance, and Business Compliance Teams

Requirements

  • Experience using Excel, Python, and Jupyter for KDP
  • Use and Monitoring
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • In-depth understanding of private credit / structured finance
  • Experience with Middle Office / Capital Structures
  • 1–3 years of experience in the relevant middle office or investment fund sector, or related experience
  • A solid understanding of structured finance and related fields
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Ability to analyze and examine daily data
  • Strong Excel and Outlook management skills
  • Willingness to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
