The Associate Relationship Manager for the Intermediaries market is a transitional role that aims to prepare the candidate for the position of Relationship Manager. The main tasks include establishing and maintaining customer relationships, acquiring new customers, and providing investment content.
Job description
Tasks
- Attract prospects, proactively build your own client book and retain existing clients in close collaboration with other team members
- Proactively ask for support, feedback and guidance from other Relationship Managers in the team to build and maintain successful client relationships
- Respond to all customer requirements in the highest quality and on time
- Provide appropriate investment content in cooperation with specialists (if required) and in compliance with internal guidelines and regulations as well as external rules and regulations
- Deepen customer relationships and continuously optimize the potential for customer sales by acquiring additional shares in the wallet / cross-selling
- Adjust the frequency and intensity of contact based on customer preference
- Ensure the highest level of data security (CID / data protection) through access management
- Ensure accurate documentation of client relationship formalities, including client identification documentation (CID), account opening forms and other relevant legal forms
- Forward customer feedback regarding products and services to the relevant specialists within the bank to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation to market trends.
- Constantly monitor potential risks to protect the bank and its customers as part of the first line of defense
- Create and implement new marketing strategies in collaboration with the Market Head & Group Head
- Contribute to strategic initiatives (e.g. to optimize key processes or support new product initiatives)
- Actively participate in the Associate RM development program and engage with the Associate RM community to share experiences and best practices

Expertise and experience
- Knowledge of global financial markets, interest in market developments and industry trends
- Basic cultural knowledge of the geographical markets to be covered
- Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the respective markets and jurisdictions
- Good understanding of relevant products, services and tools in private banking
- Ability to match customer requirements with suitable product solutions
Education and experience
- University degree (e.g. Master's degree from a university, MBA, CFA) or other educational requirements in combination with relevant professional experience
- Proven 3-5 years of professional experience (preferably in the financial industry) or completion of the Julius Baer Front Office Graduate Program
