Associate / Vice President, Sustainable Solutions Group

Job Description

• Assessing external "green," "social," "sustainable," or "transition" criteria, including ESG ratings and relevant regulatory developments (e.g., the EU Taxonomy), and applying these to ING's proposed sustainable solutions.
• Helping clients achieve their sustainability goals while optimizing balance sheet efficiency, capital allocation, funding, sustainability advisory services, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintaining data quality, including populating internal databases and keeping track of market developments.

Requirements

• Client-focused: Client engagement is the top priority in this role, along with a strong commercial mindset. Maintain strong relationships with colleagues in the financial markets.
• Sustainability/Social Background: A solid understanding of sustainability-related finance (bond lending, leasing, acquisitions, mortgages, and sustainability-related strategies or regulations).
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to rapidly changing environments and trends.
• A strong network with external stakeholders regarding sustainable development.
• A master's degree in business, finance, or other relevant fields.
• Professional experience with ESG/sustainability-related content (banking, advisory, consulting, etc.).
• Experience with sustainability-related content is a plus.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
