ATS (Trade System) Support Engineer

About the role

Man Group develops and operates trading systems that execute trillions of trades every year. To support these systems, we have a vacancy in Bulgaria. This role will be part of a team that provides support for our leading production systems and network infrastructure. This role sits at the heart of our response to critical issues. As well as supporting systems, you will also be responsible for providing strategy for the trading systems. This role will not only work with business users and engineers to interact where they will interact with many systems and support end users to support our production areas of researchers, developers and others.

Requirements

Essential

• Commitment to the responsibilities of the role; you must be willing and able to be a pragmatic but constructive partner to trading systems
• Excellent communication skills; your colleagues will range from senior management to junior developers, operators and external counterparts
• Work with and support a broad but not deep knowledge of a variety of environments
• Work in an existing shift system (6x3 shifts)
• Solid working knowledge of the Linux command line

Advantageous

• Previous experience in Operations Support
• C++, Java/C#/C++, Python, Perl, C++, Bash/Shell
• Jenkins/Slave
• *nix/terminal

Shift work

• Shift work in this role is covered by a schedule that includes early, fast and late shifts
• Times are London time (GMT/BST)
• Early: 07:30-15:30 (BST) 06:30-14:30 (GMT)
• Fast: 15:30-23:30 (BST) 14:30-22:30 (GMT)
• Late: 23:30-07:30 (BST) 22:30-06:30 (GMT)
