Tasks

As an internal audit function, the Zurich Cantonal Bank's audit department supports the bank's risk-conscious strategy implementation through best-in-class assurance. Our Audit Risk team reviews the Zurich Cantonal Bank's risk management. The topics covered include risk and valuation models in the areas of credit, market, and operational risks. In addition to governance aspects, we cover the following tasks:

• Planning, managing, and conducting internal audits in the area of risk, as well as participating in audits in other subject areas and audit teams
• Assuming responsibility as an internal audit subject matter expert in the field of risk
• Evaluating mathematical models and their validations
• Performing process analyses and checking controls
• Discussing audit results and preparing audit reports
• Participate in ongoing risk analysis and audit planning in the area of risk

Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following profile:

• Completed university degree in mathematics, natural sciences, economics, or engineering
• Good technical knowledge in the areas of quantitative risk management, modeling of market or credit risks, statistics
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in risk management or auditing at financial institutions
• Experience in data analytics is a plus
• Suitable and goal-oriented personality
• Team player qualities and enjoyment of interacting with colleagues from different departments
• Very good written and oral communication skills in German
