Tasks

• Be responsible for ensuring that tasks and issues are handled and managed in a way that enables stakeholders to deliver on time and with the required quality
• Ensure production stability and timely communication with stakeholders
• Drive and review technical and architectural design; enforce architectural guidelines in light of the current state of affairs
• Work closely with the Finance department and other reporting departments, as well as with Business Change Enablement Managers, to drive and manage IT deliveries
• Changes to Regulatory Reporting Requirements
• End-to-End Responsibility and Driving All Processes Forward
• Identifying Requirements, Defining Guidelines, and Addressing Challenges
• Integration with Other Engineers and Projects
• Stakeholder Support Throughout Development and Design
• Senior technical responsibility for the role
• Advancing the AXIOM Platform (MA(BS1)1) and MAS
• Driving cross-functional development projects forward
• Ability to lead development methodologies, including Agile
• Monitoring and control of existing processes or equivalents
• Setting up and/or maintaining a secure environment for software development and providing support to developers with security tools
• Leading and coordinating the team in reviewing individual codes via the ticket account for each developer

Requirements

• At least 10 years of development experience with regulatory reporting tools
• At least 5 years of Axiom development experience with solid knowledge of development work using Axiom or other equivalent regulatory reporting products
• A passion for technology and building robust and scalable systems
• Knowledge of core banking systems, balance sheets, and accounting
• Experience with other BI/reporting tools would be an asset as AXIOM (MA(BS1)1) and MAS continue to grow
• Comprehensive understanding of the HKMA's functional requirements (e.g., reports such as MAS 610 and MAS 649)
• Knowledge of Temenos T24 is a plus
• Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment
• Experience with a variety of software development approaches and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
• Experience in both architecture and software design at the implementation level
• Higher education in computer science (university, university of applied sciences, or equivalent degree)
• Experience with the Axiom Controller View
