Azure Automation Engineer
The Azure Automation Engineer at Northern Trust in Limerick develops cloud engineering solutions, AI agents, and automation tools for cybersecurity. The role involves implementing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, as well as ensuring the scalability and governance of the Azure infrastructure.
Tasks
- Build and deploy AI agents and intelligent automation tools.
- Automate cloud deployments, including network, storage, compute, and monitoring resources.
- Hands-on experience implementing scalable log ingestion and data pipeline solutions, including platform log migrations and the integration of various data sources across security infrastructure.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks and best practices (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for the automated deployment, testing, and management of cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on Azure best practices, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud architecture design.
- Design and implement robust security practices and policies in accordance with Azure security standards (e.g., Azure Security Center, Key Vault, etc.).
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in architecting, designing, and building AI agents.
- Expertise in Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, etc.
- Proven experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based infrastructure deployments.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
