Back-office cash reconciliation specialist

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Back Office Cash Reconciliation Specialist to join our team in Geneva. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving are highly valued.

Tasks

• Cash reconciliation:
  • Performing cash correspondent reconciliations for all EFG entities
  • Manual entry of statements from correspondents that are not automatically reconciled
  • Daily monitoring, review, and investigation of cash discrepancies
  • Creation and maintenance of a list of outstanding cash amounts
  • Management of processing and tracking of current files
  • Requesting and restoring missing statements from counterparties
• Investigation of customer transfers:
  • Strong knowledge of cash transfer activities (e.g., MT103, MT202, etc.)
  • Understanding the roles of each counterparty involved in transfers
  • Drafting and sending SWIFT messages (e.g., MT999, MT98s, MT996, etc.) as needed
  • Taking responsibility for managing investigations from start to finish
  • Application of knowledge about compliance requirements during investigations
  • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in cash reconciliation and/or investigation of customer transfers
• General understanding of back-office operations within banks
• French as mother tongue and fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages are an advantage
• Knowledge of GTMatch, GTExchange, and Globis is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
