Backend Developer (Full-Time) (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Design and optimization of backend services and APIs, with a focus on reliability, efficiency, and data integrity
• Collaborating with traders, business partners, and developers to gather requirements and deliver innovative features
• Active participation in Agile ceremonies, PI planning, and cross-location team alignment within Markets
• Ensuring code quality and ownership through peer reviews, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to best practices
• Integration of core systems with third-party services to enable seamless data transfer across platforms
• Providing responsive first-line support and troubleshooting in development and production environments
• Contribution to front-end improvements using JavaScript and React (a major advantage, but not required)
• Promoting risk awareness and compliance—adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and secure coding practices
• Promoting collaboration across time zones to foster a culture of shared learning, feedback, and high-performance teamwork

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a related field; 10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in backend development
• Expert knowledge of C# within large-scale, enterprise-wide systems; solid experience with Java (including optimization), MS SQL Server, and MongoDB, including performance optimization, query optimization, and data modeling
• Strong background in event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ and building high-performance APIs using gRPC and GraphQL
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating with global teams across time zones (e.g., Switzerland and Singapore)
• Experience in cloud-native development on Microsoft Azure, including Docker, Kubernetes, and managed services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus)
• Commitment to software excellence—experience with code reviews, CI/CD, and adherence to engineering best practices
