Backend Developer

Tasks

• Design, development and testing of software modules to ensure optimal functionality and performance of existing and new software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high quality software solutions
• Maintenance of current trading platforms and improvement and creation of new functions and frameworks on which the trading platforms are based
• Development of new software modules and other components
• Level 2 support for the company and other stakeholders as required

Requirements

• Strong background in backend development with deep expertise in strongly typed and object-oriented languages (C#, Java)
• Relevant higher education and professional experience with 10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years as a backend developer
• Relevant work experience in the financial industry is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of microservices, patterns and frameworks (e.g. reactive extensions)
• Good knowledge of Azure, SQL, NoSQL
• Strong knowledge of Git, experience with automated deployment/continuous integration/continuous deployment
• Collaborative and strong team member
• Ability to work in a global team that has members in Singapore and Switzerland
• Willingness to work in an agile environment

Ideal profile

• Good knowledge of front-end development, especially with JavaScript and React
• Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud-based development, ideally in Application Containerization and Azure
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and package managers (e.g. Pipelines, NuGet) is a plus

• Strong English language skills, both written and oral
