Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) Full-Time (f/m/d) - External
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) for a full-time position in Madrid, where the candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality code for software solutions and participating in the planning and implementation of projects. The ideal candidate should have experience with Java, Spring Boot, and service-oriented architecture, and possess a proactive, results-oriented attitude.
Tasks
- Understanding business requirements by collaborating with colleagues from different departments
- Participate in planning and feature refinement meetings with the team
- Collaborate with solution architects to design software solutions that align with Julius Baer’s overall architectural vision
- Active participation in software engineering communities to share knowledge and help others
- Delivery of high-quality code that complies with guidelines and standards
- Management of containerized applications in a cloud-native environment (Azure, etc.)
Your profile
- You have a "can-do" attitude and are proactive and results-oriented
- Willingness to learn new ways of working and support Julius Baer in its transformation
- You take pride in your work and strive to set an example
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or demonstrable relevant professional experience
- Very good English
