Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) Full-Time (f/m/d)

Job description

As a Backend Engineer (Java/SpringBoot), you will work closely with your colleagues from various departments to understand business requirements. Your responsibilities include:

• Participate in planning and feature refinement meetings with your team
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to design software solutions that align with the overall vision of Julius Baer's architecture
• Actively participate in our software engineering communities to share your knowledge and help others
• Delivery of high-quality code that complies with Julius Baer’s guidelines and standards

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

• A "can-do" attitude that is pragmatic and open-minded
• An entrepreneurial mindset where your ideas are welcome
• Proven experience in software development using industry standards such as test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD)
• Understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD and the importance and value of automated testing
• Ability to design, deploy, and manage applications using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and related technologies
• Willingness to learn new ways of working and support Julius Baer in its transformation
• Pride in your work and a desire to set a good example
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or demonstrable relevant professional experience
• Very good English
