Job description

As a Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot), you will be responsible for developing software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Understanding business requirements by collaborating with colleagues from various departments
• Participate in planning and feature refinement meetings with your team
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to design software solutions that align with Julius Baer's overall vision
• Active participation in software engineering communities to share knowledge and help others
• Delivery of high-quality code that complies with guidelines and standards

Your profile

• Proven experience in software engineering using industry standards such as test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD)
• Understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD and the importance of automated testing
• Design, Deployment, and Management of Applications Using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Related Technologies
• Management of containerized applications in a cloud-native environment (Azure, etc.)
• Willingness to learn new ways of working and support Julius Baer in its transformation
• Pride in your work and a desire to set a good example
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or demonstrable relevant professional experience
• Very good English
