Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) Full-Time (f/m/d)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Backend Engineer (Java/SpringBoot) for a full-time position in Madrid. The ideal candidate should have experience in software development using Java, SpringBoot, and Kubernetes, as well as an open-minded and entrepreneurial attitude. The successful candidate will be part of a team developing software solutions for the future of wealth management.
Tasks
- Understanding business requirements by collaborating with colleagues from different departments
- Participate in planning and feature refinement meetings with the team
- Contribute to the design of software solutions that align with Julius Baer's overall architectural vision
- Active participation in software engineering communities to share knowledge and help others
- Delivery of high-quality code that complies with guidelines and standards
Your profile
- You have a "can-do" attitude, are pragmatic, and are open to new ideas

- Proven experience in software development using industry standards such as test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD)
- Understanding of DevOps concepts such as CI/CD and the importance of automated testing
- Design, Deployment, and Management of Applications Using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Related Technologies
- Management of containerized applications in a cloud-native environment (Azure, etc.)
- Willingness to learn new ways of working and to support Julius Baer in its transformation
- You take pride in your work and strive to set an example
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or demonstrable relevant professional experience
- Very good English
