Backend Engineer (Java/Spring Boot) with strong Oracle DB experience, 19–100% (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Responsible for the design, development, and testing of software modules to ensure optimal functionality and system integration within complex systems.
• The role requires a combination of in-depth technical expertise, a proactive approach to customer needs, and efficient project management.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to drive innovation and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contributing to software development as a strategy for the Order Management department in a highly collaborative environment.
• Support for the ongoing technical maintenance of the system and proactive identification of areas for future improvement.

Requirements

• Understanding of order management systems with features such as IBM OTMS, including order routing and entry.
• Extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL 19+ development and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Linux environments and Bash scripting for automation and operations.
• Expertise in Java, Jena, .NET, or equivalent software development technologies (you won't be developing exclusively in these languages, but it is essential to understand the application context in these languages).
• Solid understanding of messaging protocols, particularly Kafka, IBM MQ, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with financial messaging standards such as FIX and ISO 20022 (e.g., FAILIN).
• Expert in RESTful Web APIs and data formats, including XML and JSON.
• Knowledge of security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS, and vulnerability assessment is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes) is a plus, as is experience with deploying distributed systems.
• Knowledge of system architecture, identifying non-functional requirements, design documentation, and monitoring.
• An expert in observability using Grafana and Prometheus.
• Knowledge of securities trading and related processes, particularly in primary and secondary markets, covering all asset classes (stocks, bonds, new issues, funds, alternative investments, structured products, ETFs, and ETCs).
• A comprehensive understanding of financial instruments.
• Some practical experience using Bloomberg data (master data and prices).
• Strong proficiency in money market transactions and payment processing procedures.
• A basic understanding of agile project methodologies such as SAFe or Scrum.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from multiple teams.
• Fluency in English.
