BCM MANAGER

Leonteq is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Manager (BCM) to ensure operational resilience, information security and regulatory compliance in the financial technology company. The BCM Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of business continuity and crisis management frameworks.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Continuity Manager to join our FinTech business in the financial services sector. This critical role traditionally involves continuity planning and includes IT risk management & coordination, third party oversight and cross-functional responsibilities and tasks to directly support operational resilience, information security and regulatory compliance (including FINMA and DORA requirements). You will work at the intersection of business, technology and compliance to ensure critical operations remain secure, available and resilient in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Tasks

  • Business Continuity Management (BCM)
    • Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the business continuity and crisis management framework
    • Conduct and support Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and continuity planning with business and technology stakeholders
    • Align recovery capabilities with service criticality, utilizing cloud-native, dedicated and hybrid infrastructures common in FinTech environments
    • Business Continuity Testing - Coordinate continuity and disaster recovery exercises across data centers, systems and departments
    • Providing reports and recommendations to senior and executive management
    • Work with internal and external audits to ensure we maintain our ISO22301:2019 certification and adapt to new regulatory changes
    • Manage the BCM policy and strategy
  • Third-party risk manager (stakeholder monitoring)
    • Review and challenge third party documentation submitted by service owners, including onboarding, renewal and exit plans/strategies
    • Evaluate ICT and non-ICT risk management in line with FINMA circulars and DORA regulations on operational resilience and digital risks
    • Ensure that due diligence documentation, control evidence and risk assessments are complete, up to date and compliant with regulations
    • Collaboration with business, information security, compliance, legal, procurement and key risk indicators
    • Define and report on key risk indicators

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in business continuity, risk, information security or operational resilience - preferably in FinTech, banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks: FINMA, DORA, ISO22301, GDPR
  • Familiarity with IT risk management, cloud-based infrastructures, third party monitoring and information security fundamentals
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to work across business, compliance and technology teams
  • Hands-on experience with GRC or internal control systems
