Branch Business Manager
The Julius Baer Group is seeking an Industry Business Manager to support the management team in Singapore with risk management and project implementation. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience in the financial sector, particularly in private banking, and possess strong communication and analytical skills.
Your challenge
The Branch Business Manager position supports the Singapore Branch Management Office in all local management and branch matters.Key features and responsibilities
Responsibilities include:- Independent, trusted risk advisor to industry management, assessing risk issues and presenting risks clearly to facilitate decision-making
- Support in setting up, operating, and maintaining an effective risk management framework for the branch, in close cooperation with various stakeholders in the business areas, BRM, or CRO functions
- Supporting branch management in branch-wide projects and initiatives that promote a positive risk culture and an improved control framework, while taking front office concerns into account when steering initiatives
- Primary point of contact for front office matters, conducting impact analyses, communication management, ensuring that operational aspects are taken into account, and maintaining an appropriate balance between commercial objectives and risk management
- Collaborate with other branch units to address issues affecting front office efficiency, including customer-related incidents, platform system stability, customer complaints, and procedural inefficiencies
- Promoting a positive risk culture and awareness throughout the branch, including conducting training sessions
- Steering important strategic and operational initiatives in the front office, acting as a link between the front office and control/support units (risk, compliance, operations, technology)
- Ensuring that business growth targets are met while maintaining an appropriate balance with regulatory requirements, risk appetite, and operational resilience

Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors, including but not limited to standards of honesty and integrity, diligence and conscientiousness, fair treatment (treating customers fairly), and risk management.Requirements

Professional and technical
- University degree or equivalent education in banking and/or finance
- More than 5 years of relevant professional experience in the financial industry, preferably in private banking risk management, compliance, or internal audit
- Ability to organize content and present ideas and recommendations in a clear and structured manner
- Strong understanding of private banking business and regulatory requirements in Singapore
