Branch Business Manager

About the job

The Branch Business Manager position supports the Singapore Branch Management Office in all local management and branch matters.

Tasks and responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities include:

• Independent risk advisor for branch management to assess risk issues and support decision-making
• Support in setting up, operating, and maintaining an effective risk management framework for the industry
• Supporting branch management in branch-wide projects and initiatives to promote a positive risk culture and an improved control system
• Primary contact for front office matters, including impact analysis, communications management, and operational aspects
• Promoting a positive risk culture and awareness throughout the industry
• Support in the implementation of strategic and operational initiatives in the front office
• Ensuring that business growth targets are met while maintaining an appropriate balance between regulatory requirements, risk tolerance, and operational resilience

Professional and technical requirements

The professional and technical requirements include:

• University degree or equivalent education in banking and/or finance
• More than 5 years of relevant professional experience in the financial industry, preferably in private banking risk management, compliance, or internal audit
• Ability to organize content and present ideas and recommendations in a clear and structured manner
• Strong understanding of private banking business and regulatory requirements in Singapore
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to integrate different positions into actionable tasks or actions
