Business Analyst, IAM Strategy & Product Management
As a Business Analyst for IAM Strategy and Product Management at Northern Trust, you will help further develop identity and access management solutions and define product roadmaps. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications, support product delivery, and work closely with stakeholders to optimize security processes and customer journeys.
Tasks
- Support the development and evolution of the IAM strategy through continuous improvement, regular stakeholder engagement, and the iterative refinement of security policies
- Collaborate with IDAM product managers to define product roadmaps, identify priorities, and develop solutions through an iterative process
- Conducting market research, benchmarking, and competitive analyses to identify emerging IAM trends, technologies, and best practices
- Support in developing an end-to-end product roadmap and monitoring solutions through business case analysis and user acceptance testing
- Management of Product Performance, Usability, Accessibility, and Strategic Feedback Loops
- Capture, synthesis, and validation of business, functional, operational, and recurring requirements
- Facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions to advance strategic priorities and plan activities
- Translating business requirements into user stories, technical specifications, workflows, and product designs
- Defining future process and operating models to support the PMO's objectives
- Article on scenario mapping, journey mapping, traceability, and workshops on business process architecture
- Execution and management of delivery activities (including post-go-live support) to support project outcomes
- Support for proof-of-concepts, demos, sprint planning sessions, goal-setting meetings, and portfolio planning workshops
- Development of planning activities, deployment tracking and monitoring, and stakeholder communication
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, data security, computer science, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in technology, analytics, product management, consulting, global security, or IAM product knowledge
- Proven understanding of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) application landscape
- Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without the need for immigration-based visa sponsorship, either now or in the future
