Business Analyst - Retail & Other Products

Role Summary

• As a Business Analyst on the Financial Accounting Team, you will work at the intersection of finance, banking operations, business processes, and technology.
• You will help ensure that new business initiatives, regulatory changes, and system upgrades are thoroughly planned and properly implemented through robust business analysis and requirements gathering.

What You'll Be Doing

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (product owners, IT teams, business units) to gather, analyze, and validate requirements.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to ensure a clear understanding of business needs.
• Document the current and future states of processes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist in defining acceptance criteria and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Serve as a liaison between the business and IT, ensuring that solutions meet business objectives.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies related to new changes or enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (a bachelor's degree or higher is required).
• At least 3–5 years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in the financial services or banking sector.
• A strong understanding of banking products and services (e.g., retail banking, payments, retail loans, digital banking).
• Proficiency in business analysis techniques and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a detail-oriented approach.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or data analysis tools is a plus.
