Business Analyst, Transformation Project (Fund Administration)

The job as Business Analyst in the Transformation Project (Fund Administration) at LGT Capital Partners in Dublin, Ireland, involves supporting the analysis and implementation of process improvements in fund administration. The employee will work as a Business Analyst for 6-12 months on a permanent contract.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to support the Project Manager in gathering, documenting, and analyzing business requirements for the transformation project.
  • Conduct detailed gap analyses between current and target operating models in a wide range of operational areas across the business.
  • Develop process mapping and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies, risks, automation opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies between transformation initiatives and other business.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit requirements and drive alignment; organizing workshops with SMEs, overseeing IT delivery, preparing status reports and resource & work planning.
  • Support change management and project activities including training business users on roll out of new processes/tools, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in post-implementation reviews and benefits realization tracking.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
  • Performance monitoring and use of data - the Analyst will assist with KPI metrics and tracking as part of success measurement and broader approach to data driven decision making and ideation for process improvement and development.
  • Team and Stakeholder collaboration - this role will be expected to work closely and effectively with all stakeholders both across the fund administration operational teams and our clients' operational teams.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of fund administration processes, systems, and regulatory landscape. Prior work experience in the funds industry in an operations or transformation role is essential. 6-10 years minimum experience, with minimum 2 years focused on process improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in transformation or change programs which delivered significant efficiency, performance, or effectiveness benefits to an existing operating model. Proven project management, problem-solving and analytical skills (process analysis, information flow).
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
  • University degree or equivalent; qualifying experience in Business Economics, Business Informatics or Information Technology.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (in particular Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with fund accounting platform (Investran) is highly desirable. Investran is a system designed to simplify complex partnership accounting and reporting functions. It is the core fund accounting application used by LGT Fund Managers.
  • Ability to liaise and translate between technical and non-technical departments.
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills ensuring your effectiveness in.
