Business Analyst/Developer
EFG International is seeking a Business Analyst/Developer for a temporary contract position in Lugano, Switzerland, to provide support and solutions for internal and external systems within the Investment Client Solution (ICS) division. The candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills and have experience in the financial industry.

Temporary Contract - Business Analyst/Developer in Lugano, Switzerland.Tasks and responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include:- Daily support for various application systems.
- Documenting new system improvements, implementing and testing improvements, and training users.
- Communication with existing users, technical analysts, and the relevant application vendors.
- Configuration, rollout, training, and application support for Charles River / Aldaddin and related applications.
- Defining and testing necessary solutions to improve the existing features and functionalities of the IT solutions.
- Gain expertise in the use and configuration of Charles River/Aldaddin applications.
- Ongoing work on defining changes and implementing the necessary changes in the systems.
- Timely escalation of issues to all necessary parties.
- Working on the agreed-upon priorities (and ensuring that priorities are understood if there is any confusion).
- Conducting and documenting gap analyses of necessary changes in collaboration with the manufacturer and business users.
- Preparation, coordination, and documentation of detailed process flows, test plans, test execution reports, and other project documentation.
Requirements and qualifications
The requirements and qualifications include:- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., engineering, economics, mathematics, etc.).
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (ability to think quickly).
- A keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and take on tasks.
- Goal-oriented.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Software experience: Microsoft SQL, Excel macros, Visual Basic.
- Knowledge of Charles River and/or BlackRock Aladdin (preferred).
- English (French/German/Italian would be a plus).
- Effective interpersonal skills in negotiations and influencing others.
- Ability to travel occasionally when necessary.
- Previous experience in the financial sector would be an advantage.
- The expectation of working in the office.
