Business and Operations Manager – Legal Assets

Job description

Syz Capital is seeking a Business & Operations Manager to support and scale its Legal Assets platform, including litigation financing, class-action lawsuits, and related legal strategies.

Tasks

The tasks include:

• Investment & Transaction Execution: Coordinating the onboarding process and execution of litigation financing, assisting with the structuring of investments, and liaising with external law firms and financiers.
• Fund Operations & Administration: Overseeing the operational aspects of Legal Assets funds and mandates, managing accounts, and coordinating with administrators.
• Investment Lifecycle Management: Development and maintenance of case tracking systems, support for investment processes, and creation of performance indicators.
• Investor Reporting & Communications: Assistance with the preparation of reports and communication with investors, including portfolio updates and performance metrics.
• Legal & Structuring Coordination: Close collaboration with the investment team and external law firms in structuring funds and investments.
• Process Building & Platform Scaling: Design and implementation of scalable operational processes; improvement of Excel models and dashboards.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight: Monitoring operational risks and ensuring proper documentation and audits.

Requirements

The requirements include:

• 5–10 years of professional experience in investment, corporate/strategy/legal asset management, or fund administration, with experience in complex strategies.
• Strong project planning skills and a solid understanding of accounting, NAV processes, and capital accounts.
• Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders, structure investments, and develop models.
