Business and Risk Manager (Full-Time)
The Julius Baer Group is seeking a Business and Risk Manager to support business unit management and drive the company’s transformation. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in a similar role and possesses strong analytical and conceptual skills.
Tasks
You will support the business unit in its day-to-day operations and help shape and drive the unit’s transformation. Your responsibilities include:- Development and implementation of processes to improve business operations
- Carrying out a range of tasks to ensure productivity and efficiency, including implementing business strategy, risk management, budgeting, and financial reporting, as well as performance evaluation
- Supporting management in their day-to-day work
Business tasks
Her job responsibilities include:- Collaborating with the Head of Global Operations and Corporate Services on the strategic development of the business unit
- Handling routine business tasks and inquiries
- Support with various strategic management issues, such as process optimization
- Preparation of quantitative and qualitative analyses for decision-making and monitoring
- Conduct financial budget planning and ensure effective cost control and reporting for the business unit and/or projects
- Supporting senior management on organizational, communication, and reporting matters
- Support for global banking initiatives aimed at improving operational performance, products, and services
- Coordinating key initiatives within the unit, with a focus on leading or supporting specific strategic projects
- Independent analysis of specialized topics and issues across the entire COO function
Operational Risk
Your responsibilities in the area of operational risk include:- Coordination of various elements of risk management governance within the business unit
- Preparation and coordination of risk-related topics for management meetings
- Supporting the Head of Global Operations and Corporate Services and the support functions in implementing the risk management framework
- Ensuring that risk controls are properly implemented and executed
Requirements
The following requirements apply to this position:- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position or in the field of business consulting, preferably in an international setting
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a keen eye for detail without losing sight of the big picture
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment and focus fully on delivering top performance
