Business Compliance Specialist

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Tasks

• Client Onboarding Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence for new wealth management clients to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Periodic customer reviews: Regular review of existing customers to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and identify potential risks.
• KYC checks: Verify customer identity and ensure that all required documents are accurate, complete and up-to-date.
• Formality checks: Review and validation of customer information and documents for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Adverse Media Searches: Perform searches for negative media reports and other risk indicators related to customers and escalate results as needed.
• Regulatory compliance: updating relevant laws, regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, law or a related field.
• At least 5-10 years of experience in compliance, risk management or a related field, preferably in the wealth management or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of KYC, CDB, AML and client due diligence processes.
• Familiarity with compliance tools and systems for conducting adverse media searches and KYC checks.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Oral and written language skills in German (at least C2) and English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
