The Business Continuity Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing business continuity plans at Julius Baer in Frankfurt am Main. The role also involves conducting risk analyses, emergency tests, and crisis drills, as well as coordinating incident response and recovery measures.
Job description
The role of Business Continuity Manager (m/f/d) is organizationally located within the Chief Operating Officer’s (COO) division, as part of the Business Transformation team. In this role, which includes additional safeguarding responsibilities, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing business continuity plans in compliance with applicable guidelines.Tasks
- Conducting and refining risk analyses, and developing resilience and risk mitigation measures.
- Planning, conducting, and evaluating emergency tests, simulations, and crisis drills.
- Coordination of incident response and recovery measures in the event of a crisis, as well as active participation in the crisis management team.
- Preparation of reports tailored to the audience, including lessons learned and recommendations for action.
- Safeguarding: Independent oversight of measures to protect clients and financial institutions, including risk-based controls and reporting to the Board of Directors.
Requirements
- Certifications (e.g., BCM) are a plus.
- Several years of professional experience in business continuity management or operational resilience.
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements in the BCM field; experience with ISO 22301 is a plus.
- Willingness to familiarize oneself with the requirements of the safeguarding mandate under the WpHG/MaDepot or to apply existing knowledge.
- Ideally, experience with DORA-related topics (ICT risk management, incident management processes, or third-party risk management).
- Strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to work, and clear communication at the management level.
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills, as well as advanced proficiency in MS Office.
