Business Development Analyst (Alternative Asset Management)

Tasks

• Corporate Development and Business Intelligence
• Analytical support for private equity teams to minimize the risk associated with specific fundraising initiatives
• Monitoring of more than 25 different asset classes for private equity and alternative fundraising initiatives
• Work on the Business Development Team with a focus on corporate development, using modern tools (Matplotlib and Invision)
• Understanding of asset classes and investment products, as well as the various asset types, fund structures, and due diligence requirements of the boards, managing partners, and other senior members of the group
• Asset Management CRM Administration:
  • Implementation of new CRM features in coordination with IT
  • Updating investment opportunities and ensuring that information is current
  • Identifying potential prospects for new products/projects or to check on their status
• Marketing Presentations
• Customer Management Support for Senior BD/Sales Professionals
• Product Lead Support Across Alantra's 5 Different Asset Classes
• Presentations for Internal Committees
• Research and Customer Acquisition: Research and Preliminary Notes on Potential New Lead Geographies
• Preparation of documentation and minutes for the boards and managing partners
• Preparing documentation and meeting minutes for the task force, including the project pipeline
• Coordination with the Alantra Corporate Development Department and Investor Relations regarding asset management products and investors
• Entering product information across various platforms used by investment consultants

Requirements

• Ideally, 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in the asset management industry, specifically in business development, investor relations, finance, accounting, auditing, and compliance
• A proven track record of success in innovation and strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working in a team environment
• Expertise and understanding of the asset management industry, particularly as it relates to alternative asset managers or investors
• Ideally, experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple workflows in complex situations
• Willingness to Travel
