Business Development Director
The Business Development Director will expand and deepen HSBC's asset and wealth management business in EMEA by taking a client-centric approach and driving the distribution of investment products. The focus will be on building relationships with multi-family offices and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

As a Business Development Director, you'll help advise and grow our business.
Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, spans HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and institutional clients, intermediaries, corporations and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management delivers its products and services through an international distribution network.
Tasks
- Provide specialist expertise on the Active and Alternative Fund range and will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, setting fees for sales of funds in EMEA, and developing business from identification to pre-sales
- Grow and deepen the focused client relationships across EMEA. Multi-Family Offices and Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals. You'll liaise with Investment and Private Banking to enhance the HSBC Global wealth offering and generate key approval for investment and deal origination.
- Develop understanding of Active Fund management and Alternative products and work with the HSBC AM sales team together (Portfolio / Institutional, Client Service & Marketing)
- Proactively participate in the marketing of the Active Fund range by working with the product development team and product specialists for the centre of excellence of asset management
Requirements
- Postgraduate or higher-level studies
- Deep experience in investment management sales
- Proven track record of sourcing assets and managing client relationships
- Strong understanding of investment products and capital markets
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Existing network of wholesale clients or a similar ecosystem
- Ideally fluent in French and English. German is an asset
- Professional qualifications / certification - the CFA or IMC are a plus but not a pre-requisite
- You will still need to demonstrate that the latter may be the best asset to deliver outstanding long-term performance
- If you're not eligible on non-EU criteria for sole entry to consider eligible from Banks or EU license from candidates holding a Banking license
