Job Description
- The Business Manager Intermediaries will serve as a fully integrated role that bridges central coordination and on-site operational support across the Market Intermediaries in Western Switzerland and the Americas.
- Combining strategic and tactical responsibilities, this position ensures the efficient execution of global initiatives while providing responsive, market-level support to front-line leaders and stakeholders.
Front-Line Operational Support
- Provide direct assistance to the Market Head for Intermediaries in Western Switzerland and the Americas, as well as ad hoc support to Group Heads and Relationship Managers
- Organize and coordinate management committees, regular business reviews, and strategy sessions
- Track action items, etc.; ensure accountability and follow-through
Strategic Coordination & Governance
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Intermediaries segment (in particular, Market Intermediaries in Western Switzerland and the Americas) and central/global functions (e.g., Compliance, IT, Marketing, Operations), facilitating the smooth exchange of information and requirements
- Coordinate the implementation of bank-wide projects, initiatives, and regulatory changes at the market level, ensuring compliance with timelines and quality standards
- Represent the Intermediaries segment in cross-functional working groups; contribute market-level perspectives to the development of strategies and solutions
Top-Down Execution
- Receive, evaluate, and prepare centrally developed topics for local adaptation and distribution
- Distribute approved directives, guidelines, and campaign materials to front-line stakeholders
- Monitor progress, identify obstacles, and report results back to central teams
Bottom-Up Escalation
- Serve as the first point of contact for input, feedback, and proposals from the front lines; conduct an initial assessment and prioritize them
- Consolidate, refine, and forward relevant market-generated content to central bodies for consideration or action
- Advocate for practical adjustments based on real-world constraints or client needs
Project & Process Management
- Develop presentations, briefing documents, status updates, and decision-making materials for senior management
- Identify recurring inefficiencies and propose structural improvements
- Lead or co-manage workstreams
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (a master's degree is considered an asset)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in private banking, wealth management, or financial services, with proven experience in both operational support and strategic coordination roles
- Prior experience in a business management, executive support, or client-facing role is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (additional fluency in Spanish and/or German is highly desirable)
- A high degree of autonomy combined with a focus on teamwork and a service-oriented mindset
