Business Manager

The Business Manager will support Julius Baer's Global Products & Solutions team in Hong Kong and will be responsible for business planning, monitoring and reporting as well as coordinating management meetings and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of private banking experience and a strong ability to plan, organize and communicate.

Job description: Business Manager

Tasks

  • Planning, forecasting and monitoring of various KPIs (e.g. costs, P&L, financial amortization)
  • Organization and implementation of management committee meetings
  • Preparation of regular management reports and monitoring of central financial reporting
  • People management
  • Contribution to strengthening the team spirit and promoting a collaborative working environment
  • Building high-level relationships with global and regional stakeholders
  • Support for GPS co-heads, GPS site managers and GPS management team
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support in the implementation of strategic goals and operational objectives
  • Identification of opportunities to improve functional efficiency and productivity
  • Assistance in identifying and mitigating governance requirements
  • Representation of GPS on a global level in Head of Business Technology forums
  • Management of GPS' operational value stream ProTime-Tracking

Requirements

Professional & Technical

  • 8 years or more experience in private banking, particularly in a business management role
  • Relevant higher education and professional experience
  • Good knowledge of financial analysis
  • Strong commercial judgment, business acumen and comprehensive understanding of financial markets and products

Regulatory

  • Familiarity with regulatory expectations and requirements
  • Understanding of cross-border rules and regulations

  • Good judgment and ability to work under pressure

Regulatory responsibilities & risk management

  • Adherence to all legal, regulatory and compliance standards/requirements

  • Monitoring regulatory developments and changes in Hong Kong
  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behavior
