Business Manager

Meit Group is seeking a Business Manager in London who has at least four years of experience managing projects in the field of systematics and fostering collaboration with investment professionals and clients. The position involves responsibilities in project management, talent development, and strategic planning within a global investment firm.

Tasks

  • Carry out all activities related to equities and equity-related products and collaborate with the Private Markets team to maintain and strengthen Meit Group’s brands and operations.
  • Manage daily activities and project timelines to ensure the success of the business unit.
  • Be an integral part of the team that drives global cross-functional collaboration, networking, and organizational management.
  • Actively and proactively support our investment professionals across regions, strengthening ties and building relationships with our clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Project Governance: Secure the support of the Team Manager and mentors regarding the project scope, and make progress toward the Project Manager's targets, working with our investment professionals to ensure that project timelines are met.
  • Project Management: Take a proactive approach to all cross-functional initiatives and project timelines across multiple regions.
  • Staff Management & Retention/Leadership: Proactively support all cross-functional initiatives, secure leadership from the “upper” management team, maintain data, and manage projects.
  • Human Resources & Employee Training: Take a proactive approach to all cross-functional initiatives, securing leadership from the senior management team, maintaining data, and managing projects.
  • Risk Management & Legal Compliance: Act proactively on all cross-functional initiatives, securing leadership from the senior management team, managing data, and overseeing projects.
  • Stay safe, secure, and comfortable in an office environment and around your other contacts, while remaining focused, active, and engaged in meetings and events.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to prioritize productivity and personal output (projects, work, tasks) and avoid taking short breaks.

Requirements

  • Lead efforts across project initiation, design, planning, and implementation.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and related activities (project initiation, risk management, design planning, development and implementation, and project governance).
  • Experience in designing and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent relationship management and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and leadership in areas such as scope and resource management, as appropriate.
  • Ability to evaluate new ideas, synthesize ideas and facts, and facilitate clear communication between departments.
  • Extensive knowledge of business strategy, practical knowledge of operations, and experience in a related field.
  • A bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in project management, business strategy, or a comparable operational role.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively toward your goals and objectives.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality products and services.
  • Skills and knowledge to demonstrate expertise in areas such as project design, project management, strategic planning, and client relationship management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, as well as with various software applications and tools.
