Business Manager (Veteran Transition Program)
As part of the Veteran Transition Program, the Business Manager will be assigned to Man Group in London for six months to support the CAO Office with business management and change management initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to identify and modify processes to improve efficiency and foster innovation.
Tasks
This role involves working in the CAO’s office on business management and change management initiatives, both at the departmental and company levels. The person will be responsible for business outcomes that contribute to the company’s strategic goals and improve efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to identify and modify processes to improve efficiency and foster innovation. Specific responsibilities:- Support the CAO and the CoS for the CAO in achieving their goals through decision support, process implementation, and the provision of management information.
- Business management, including commercial contract management, supplier strategy, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Addressing business challenges through data analysis and modeling, as well as business process optimization.
- Department management, including town hall meetings, efficiency measures, and other department-related activities.
- Preparing materials on behalf of the business unit for committees and other stakeholder groups.
- Change Management - Managing business and regulatory changes, as well as AI transformation.
- Supporting the CAO and CAO Office Director in their responsibilities, including Man's insurance program and corporate sustainability.
Requirements
Technical skills:- 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong business acumen; able to understand the needs of stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to build close working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively manage time and effort and to balance competing demands and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills; able to ensure clear, precise, and professional communication (both written and verbal) with internal and external partners.
