Business Operations Specialist, Sygnum Europe (Liechtenstein)
The Business Operations Specialist at Sygnum Europe in Liechtenstein is responsible for the day-to-day operational support of clients in Europe, including transaction processing, client onboarding, reporting and IT support. Tasks
- Transaction Handling:
- Process and monitor customer orders and trade orders promptly and accurately.
- Ensure the processing and booking of transactions in accordance with internal procedures.
- Dealing with transaction confirmations and responding to customer queries on operational matters.
- Client Onboarding:
- Supporting relationship managers in the onboarding process from start to finish.
- Coordinate with compliance and risk management teams for approvals and escalations.
- Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Preparation of periodic customer reports (e.g. account statements, transaction summaries).
- Supporting regulatory and internal reporting obligations.
- Daily reconciliation of customer accounts, valuations and ledgers. Investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly, escalating issues as required.
- Operational excellence:
- Ensure that all operational processes are carried out in accordance with guidelines and internal controls.
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of operational workflows and efficiency.
- Supporting internal and external audits with the necessary documentation and explanations.
- IT operations:
- Serve as first point of contact for internal users, providing first level support across all systems via ticker, email and in-person requests. Escalate complex issues to our outsourced service providers to ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate user lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding, hardware setup and account provisioning.
- Participate in the management of major incidents, assist in the rapid resolution of business critical incidents and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in banking operations, financial operations or crypto/digital assets.
- Knowledge of transaction processing, commercial operations, reconciliation processes and IT service management practices (e.g. ITIL).
- Experience in coordinating with outsourced IT service providers, including performance monitoring, SLA validation and incident escalation.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of accuracy.
- Proactive, collaborative mindset suited to an innovative, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English and German (and additional European languages are a plus).
- Familiarity with European financial regulations (e.g. MiCAR) preferred.
- Valid work permit for Liechtenstein and availability to work at least 3 days per week on site.
