Business Process Excellence Analyst 100% (f/m/d)
The Business Process Excellence Analyst is responsible for developing efficient, data-driven processes and ensuring data integrity at Julius Baer. The position requires experience in process analysis, operational excellence, and process management, as well as strong analytical skills and knowledge of tools such as ARIS, SQL, and Power BI.
Tasks
The Business Process Excellence Analyst drives process maturity within the operational transformation agenda. Responsibilities include:- Development of clear, consistent, and scalable documentation of banking processes using structured methods such as BPMN 2.0
- Creation of integrated process maps spanning front, middle, and back office functions to ensure transparency across the entire customer lifecycle
- Identification of inefficiencies, manual rework, handover delays, and redundant steps through direct observation, stakeholder interviews, and data-driven discovery
- Applying continuous improvement principles to redesign workflows for greater accuracy, speed, and scalability
- Supporting the prioritization of improvement opportunities based on impact analyses
- Establishment and management of a global process data quality framework to define rules, metrics, and thresholds for evaluating process quality
- Performing regular health checks on process metadata and instance data to detect anomalies, inconsistencies, or quality losses in the documentation
- Reporting via dashboards and executive summaries to identify causes of deviations and recommend corrective measures
- Collaborate with business units, IT, compliance, and risk to understand challenges and develop sustainable solutions
- Leading workshops, conducting process workthroughs, training sessions, and effectively communicating changes to various target groups
Requirements
The requirements for this position are:- 7-10 years of experience in business process analysis, operational excellence, or process management in the financial services sector, ideally in private banking or wealth management
- Proficiency in BPMN (for modeling end-to-end processes) and experience with ARIS for process documentation and governance
- Strong analytical mind with practical experience in SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and data quality improvement (data cleansing, validation, error logging); familiarity with process mining tools (e.g., Celonis, UiPath Process Mining) is an advantage
- Proven success in leading cross-functional process improvements, particularly during large transformation projects, system implementations, or restructuring
- Ability to influence stakeholders across global regions (Switzerland, EMEA, APAC, Americas) without formal authority and to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Education and skills
The required education and skills are:- Degree in computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field (university, UAS, or equivalent)
- Certification in one or more of the following areas preferred: Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or PMI-PBA/PMP
- Advanced knowledge of ARIS—including ARIS administration—is mandatory; experience in developing custom reports
