Business Process Excellence Analyst 100% (f/m/d)
The Business Process Excellence Analyst is responsible for developing efficient, data-driven processes and ensuring data integrity at Julius Baer. The position requires experience in process analysis, operational excellence, and process management, as well as strong analytical skills and knowledge of tools such as BPMN, ARIS, and SQL.
Tasks
The duties of the Business Process Excellence Analyst include:- Process design and documentation: Development of clear, consistent, and scalable documentation of banking processes using structured methods such as BPMN 2.0
- Process improvement: Identification of inefficiencies, manual rework, handover delays, and redundant steps through direct observation, stakeholder interviews, and detailed discovery
- Process data quality monitoring and analysis: Establishment and management of a global process data quality framework, definition of rules, metrics, and thresholds for evaluating process modeling
- Change management and stakeholder engagement: Partnering with business units, IT, compliance, and risk to understand challenges and develop sustainable solutions
Requirements
The requirements for this position are:- 7-10 years of experience in business process analysis, operational excellence, or process management in the financial services sector, ideally in private banking or asset management
- Proficiency in BPMN (for modeling complex end-to-end processes) and experience with ARIS for process documentation and management
- Strong analytical mind with practical experience in SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and improving data quality (cleaning, validation, error logging)
- Proven success in leading cross-functional process improvements, particularly during major transformations, system implementations, or restructuring
Education and skills
The required education and skills are:- Degree in computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field (university, UAS, or equivalent)
- Certification in one or more of the following areas preferred: Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP), Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or PMI-PBA/PMP
- Advanced knowledge of ARIS—including ARIS administration—is mandatory; experience in developing custom reports and APO workflows is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of SQL for database queries and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Fluent English is required; strong German skills (written and spoken) are highly desirable; other languages are an advantage.
