Business Risk Manager - 80% (f/m/d)
The Business Risk Manager (80%, m/f/d) at Julius Baer in Dublin supports front office management in monitoring and managing risks and acts as the first line of defense for risks in the day-to-day business. Job description
Tasks
- Establish and maintain an adequate 1LoD risk governance based on the group standards as well as required by local regulation
- Proactively support primarily the Front Office in Dublin as a solution-oriented Business Risk Manager to avoid risks arising in the day-to-day business
- Take over responsibility for selected BRRM tasks for all Front units of Bank Julius Baer Luxembourg (JBJE)
- Support Front Management in their supervisory duty and managing daily risks by conducting regular risk exchanges
- Monitor significant risks in the Front Departments and agree with Management on respective measures
- Perform approvals and control tasks for Front Management as delegate and in accordance with the internal policies
- Support Front in challenging situations and non-standard cases from a risk perspective
- Assess training needs and support education in the Front teams
- Ensure regular exchange of topics and share best practices with Front
- Establish a collaborative relationship with / knowledge transfer from internal stakeholders such as the CRO division
- Coordinate and monitor remediation activities and align with supervisor or 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD)
- Analyze (front office) processes from a risk perspective and develop new ideas to mitigate risks and to reduce manual workarounds
- Ensure integration of local activities into the set-up and ressorting of BRRM as defined by JB Group and the CRO division
Requirements
Mandatory
- Sound knowledge in regulatory and risk topics (e.g. KYC, Fraud, Cross border)
- 1 - 2 years experience in a client facing function preferred. Risk or Compliance background alternatively will be considered
- Generalist know-how of asset classes paired with a strong interest for financial markets
- Fluent in English
- Self-driven, take responsibility
- Strong client and business orientation and ability to think interconnected
- Good MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
- Good communication skills
- Structured working method
Nice to Have
- A Master's degree in Economics, Finance or other related fields is preferable
- Further language skills are a benefit
