Tasks

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of controls in the GPS division, identifying opportunities for improvement and mitigating potential risks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Assessing the impact of changes to bank-wide policies and ensuring that adjustments are reflected in internal controls
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders in the GPS division, ensuring controls are properly designed and implemented to address key risk types
  • Central management of the internal control tool (e.g. creation of new controls, editing of existing controls and assignment of roles) for GPS
  • Provide targeted training and risk advisory services to stakeholders on control-related topics to promote a culture of risk awareness and risk management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and identify opportunities to improve functional efficiency, propose process/control improvements to implement effective controls to mitigate key business risks
  • Representation of the GPS division in bank-wide committees, projects and working groups dealing with risk and/or control issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education, preferably in banking and finance, business administration or law
  • Further training in financial markets and risk is a strong plus (e.g. FRM, CRM, CFA)
  • Relevant industry experience: More than 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the private banking industry, with a focus on risk, compliance, financial markets or advisory services
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, risk management and audit principles
  • Familiarity with investment products and services and the associated risks
  • Solid understanding of banking, financial products and processes related to advisory, trading, sales and execution
  • Good understanding and strong interest in non-financial risk related topics, such as operational risks, product and service risks, market abuse/manipulation risks, etc.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth data analysis, gap assessments and present solution options
  • Build high-impact relationships with global and regional stakeholders across functions
  • Commitment to high quality and performance standards for all deliveries
