Business Selection (BSRRC) Specialist
UBS is seeking a Business Selection (BSRRC) Specialist in Zurich to lead complex projects in the investment banking sector and resolve conflicts. The ideal candidate has experience in conflict management, a legal background, and excellent analytical skills.
Your role
Do you have a passion for analyzing financial data and related information to resolve diverse and complex issues related to suitability and conflicts of interest before taking on new business? Are you able to manage complex and varied projects efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines? Are you able to collaborate with people around the world? The BSRRC Specialist should:- take an active, leading role in the conflict resolution and vendor selection process
- work with the Global Banking team to gather relevant details and conduct conflict reviews
- Identify and resolve complex issues that arise during the conflict review process, while managing the deal teams' expectations regarding the outcome and turnaround time
- lead strategic projects (e.g., improving automation and streamlining processes, training for bankers, etc.)
- Work closely with Compliance and Operational Risk Control on audit and regulatory issues and responses, as needed
- develop new ideas and creative approaches that help drive the business forward
- make sound and balanced judgments (always in accordance with professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards)
Your expertise
- Law degree or equivalent
- Experience with conflicts in the investment industry
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written skills
- Strength in analyzing complex situations
- proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and complete them on time
- Strong organizational skills and high productivity
- Strong work ethic and proactivity
- excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- able to work in close consultation with senior management
- flexible regarding working hours, if necessary
