Business Selection (BSRRC) Specialist

UBS is seeking a Business Selection (BSRRC) Specialist in Zurich to conduct complex conflict and interest reviews in investment banking and manage projects efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate has experience in conflict management, a legal background, and strong analytical skills.

Your role

Do you have a passion for analyzing financial data and related information to resolve diverse and complex suitability and conflict-of-interest issues before taking on new business? Are you able to manage complex and varied projects efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines? Are you able to collaborate with people around the world? The BSRRC Specialist is expected to: * take an active, leading role in the conflict resolution and business decision-making process * collaborate with the Global Banking team to gather relevant details and conduct conflict reviews * identify and resolve complex issues that arise during the conflict review process, while managing the deal teams’ expectations regarding the outcome and turnaround time * Lead strategic projects (e.g., improved automation and process optimization, banker training, etc.) * Work closely with Compliance and Operational Risk Control on audit and regulatory issues and responses, as needed * Generate new ideas and creative approaches that help drive the business forward * Make sound and balanced judgments (always within professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards)

Your expertise

* Law degree or equivalent * Experience with disputes in the investment industry * Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong analytical skills for complex situations * Proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and complete them on time * Strong organizational skills and high flexibility * Strong work ethic and proactivity * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office * Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment * Ability to work closely with others * Flexible regarding working hours when necessary
