The role of Business Support AML & Client Due Diligence Officer involves monitoring and reviewing client relationships to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting due diligence reviews, monitoring client accounts, and ensuring compliance with regulations and laws.

The core mission of the Business Support AML & Client Due Diligence Officer is to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing that may arise from transactions with certain clients. The Business Support AML & Client Due Diligence Officer will be responsible for conducting detailed client due diligence reviews. The Analyst will gather information necessary to complete the CDD review. The Analyst will trigger events and periodic reviews, as well as KYC investigations within the first line of defense of Private Banking, and ensure ongoing compliance with local laws and regulations. Your responsibilities include:- Periodic reviews (preparation and validation): Conducting scheduled assessments of customer data, risk profiles, and account activity to ensure ongoing compliance with AML/KYC regulations, identify potential risks, and verify the accuracy of the data.
- Onboarding (Analysis): Conducting a thorough analysis of new customer applications, verifying identities and risk factors, and ensuring proper documentation to establish a solid customer relationship.
- Monitoring and Escalation: Monitor accounts flagged for review (including bank decisions) to ensure that all legal, regulatory, and operational steps are completed accurately.
- Balance Confirmation: Requests for balance confirmation from customers, third parties (auditors, legal and tax advisors), and ensuring prompt follow-up.
- Assisting with the implementation of Business Support AML and client due diligence controls in connection with regulatory compliance.
- Carry out and complete tasks and projects assigned by the Business Support AML & Client Due Diligence Manager.
- Compliance with internal regulations and the Bank’s internal guidelines and policies.
Requirements
- Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor's degree (3 years of study)
- Education / Specialization: A degree in banking and finance, financial services, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with screening tools (such as World-Check or similar tools), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.
- Minimum experience: 3–5 years
- A recognized qualification in anti-money laundering, compliance, or financial crime is preferred.
