About the job
Our GPS Technology department supports the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) businesses and is looking for a highly skilled Business Technology Analyst to join our team. As a key part of our team, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our trading and risk management platforms, with a focus on Murex Front to Risk and connected margin collateral management systems.
Tasks
- Active participation in Program Increment (PI) planning processes within the markets
- Capture, specification and documentation of business requirements
- Analysis, configuration, testing and implementation of functional changes
- Participation in the analysis and implementation of business logic
- Discussion of requirements and solutions with business owners and stakeholders
- Coordination and implementation of functional tests of new functionalities and bug fixes
- Supporting end users during user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Continuous improvement of the platform
- Support and troubleshooting of issues reported by business users, including market data, reference statics data setup, trade lifecycle events, P&L and risk
- Troubleshooting end-of-day processes and batch resolution requests
- Maintenance of reports (usually business-driven, change of query conditions)
- Support of simulation and livebook tools (e.g. P&L and Greeks discrepancies, risk matrix setup, P/LVAR, etc.)
- Availability for production deployments on one weekend per month

Requirements
Technical requirements
- Good knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Good knowledge of database/SQL-related queries (Oracle, Sybase)
Personal and social requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology or a related field
- Financial engineering or programming qualification is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a global team setup and take initiative with a positive attitude
- Solution-oriented and able to work in an agile setup
- Ability to resolve issues quickly and deliver effective solutions
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to deal with different stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, able to specify and document requirements
- Willingness to take on analytical tasks as well as practical implementation and testing tasks
- Previous experience with requirements gathering and user acceptance testing
- Highly motivated, combined with a team player spirit
